Best wine getaways in Willamette Valley AVA:
The Fulton House: This historic Craftsman home is tucked into the quiet neighborhood of Portland and home to an urban winery scene. Technically, it’s part of the he Willamette Valley AVA, which is Oregon’s largest AVA and spans 150 miles long and up to 60 miles wide. This wine growing region produces two-thirds of the state’s wine production.
Best wine getaways in Yamhill-Carlton AVA:
Yamhill Vineyards B&B: Set on a vineyard planted in 1985, the innkeeper serves grape juice, aka “wine before it’s time,” for breakfast and gives a Vineyard 101 tour through the Instagram-worthy grounds. The closest wineries are within the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. The Yamhill-Carlton AVA is centered around the hamlets of Carlton and Yamhill, the Coast Range creates an AVA of nearly 60,000 acres. Yamhill-Carlton AVA is a sub-AVA of the Willamette Valley AVA.
The Carlton Inn Bed & Breakfast: Located in the town of Carlton, this inn is walking distance to several of the 25 tasting rooms in town and fine dining restaurants. It is also within the Yamhill-Carlton AVA.
RR Thompson House: This historic house with lovely gardens is in the town of Carlton and walking distance to several of the 25 tasting rooms in town and fine dining restaurants. It is also within the Yamhill-Carlton AVA.

Franziska Haus B&B: This purpose-built log house bed and breakfast in the wine town of Dundee is walking distance to several tasting rooms. This property is within the Dundee Hills AVA. The first grapes in Willamette Valley were planted in the Dundee Hills. This area is still the most densely planted in the state. Dundee Hills AVA is a sub-AVA of the Willamette Valley.
La Bastide B&B: This is one of the few Oregon wine country inns that accommodates children. Located in the wine town of Dundee, La Bastide is walking distance to several tasting rooms. It uses solar power for much of its power usage, which we think is super cool. It is also part of the Dundee Hills AVA.
Best wine getaways in McMinnville AVA:
Youngberg Hill Inn: Offering expansive pastoral views of the biodynamic Youngberg Hill Winery vineyards, this inn has a winery and tasting room on site. It’s also available for weddings and events in the new flexible (indoors with walls that open) event center! This property is within the McMinnville AVA, which is the AVA that created the International Pinot Noir Celebration, a three-day event, famous around the globe, as a mecca for lovers of Pinot noir and northwest cuisine. The McMinnville AVA is a sub-AVA of the Willamette Valley AVA.
A’Tuscan Estate: This historic house in the wine town of McMinnville was voted “best main street” by several outlets over the past several years and has various accolades (Sunset Mag, USA Today, etc.) with shops, restaurants and tasting rooms within walking distance and recreational marijuana allowed on site.

Bella Collina B&B: Offering expansive pastoral views of the Eola-Amity AVA area, this modern elegant house is decorated using photography from its owners. The Eola-Amity Hills AVA has more than 30 wineries and 100 vineyards. It sits 250 to 700 feet above sea level. The Eola-Amity Hills AVA is a sub-AVA of the Willamette Valley AVA.
Best wine getaways in Chehalem Mountains AVA:
Chehalem Ridge B&B: Rooms at this bed and breakfast offer expansive views from 1000 feet above the valley and town of Newberg. The B&B uses solar power for much of its power usage and the property is run by a professionally trained chef/owner. This property is within the Chehalem Mountains AVA, which features nearly 70,000 acres; 2,600 acres of grapes, grown in over 170 vineyards; and more than 50 wineries. The Chehalem Mountains AVA is a sub-AVA of the Willamette Valley AVA.
The Willows: This B&B offers two guest rooms rented to the same traveling party with one shared bath. Breakfast is delivered to breakfast room; children can be accommodated and recreational marijuana is allowed onsite. The property is located within The Chehalem Mountains AVA.
Willamette Valley B&B: Opened in 2019 with jetted tubs in each bathroom; recreational marijuana is allowed onsite. This B&B is within The Chehalem Mountains AVA.
The DreamGiver’s Inn: This inn offers manicured landscape gardens and extensive food gardens, as well as large common areas for groups traveling together. it’s just 15 minutes from the interstate but secluded and situated within The Chehalem Mountains AVA.
The Setting Inn Willamette Valley: This property started welcoming guests in May 2021! it’s set 3-miles from downtown Newberg in The Chehalem Mountains AVA.
Best wine getaways in Van Duzer AVA:
MaMere’s Guesthouse & Event Center: Located un the town of Monmouth, home of Western Oregon University, MaMere’s welcomes kids and whole house rentals, along with a small events space, Eola-Amity AVA wineries nearby though this particular B&B is within a new wine region is a big growing area within the state. It features six bonded wineries and nearly 1,000 planted acres. The Van Duzer AVA is a sub-AVA of the Willamette Valley AVA.
Airlie Farm: This working horse farm is nearby some of the best wineries in The Van Duzer AVA.
Best wine getaway in Umpqua Valley AVA:
CH Bailey House: Stay in the Brenner Suite, fully equipped with a kitchen and living room at this this historic house in the countryside, with Umpqua Valley AVA vineyards nearby. The Umpqua Valley’s wine growing history dates back to the 1880s when German immigrants who had worked for Beringer Bros., the oldest continuously operating vineyard in Napa, planted the first wine grape vineyard in the Valley. It since continues to evolve. It is a sub-AVA of the Southern Oregon AVA.
Best wine getaway in Rogue Valley AVA:
Prospect Historic Hotel: This is a historic hotel turned B&B (with motel rooms as well) in a town very near Crater Lake National Park and about an hour’s drive from Rogue Valley wineries. The Rogue Valley AVA is the southernmost wine growing region in Oregon. It includes three adjacent river valleys (Bear Creek, Applegate and Illinois). Pinot noir but also Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sauvignon blanc are among the most popular varieties. This AVA is a sub-AVA of the Southern Oregon AVA.
Best wine getaway in Columbia Gorge AVA:
Old Parkdale Inn: The Old Parkdale Inn is a historic house in the small town of Parkdale, 30 minutes north to ski areas and 20 minutes to wineries. Pear orchards is just across the street. Some of the inn’s rooms include kitchenettes. The property lies within the Columbia Gorge AVA, which straddles Northern Oregon and Southern Washington. The AVA is separated by the Columbia River, which is the only sea-level passage through the Cascade Mountain Range. The most common varieties here include: Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, and Chardonnay.
