Thanksgiving Wine Events in the Willamette Valley
For 35 years, Willamette Valley wineries have been throwing open their doors to welcome visitors the weekend after Thanksgiving. This year, more than 150 wineries continue this tradition November 24, 25 and 26. Join winemakers in the valley for special tastings, food pairings, live music, holiday discounts and more. Each winery celebrates the festive weekend with its own flare! Here are some OBBG Innkeeper members’ favorite choices for this holiday weekend of wine tasting:
Chehalem Ridge B&B: We love nearby Bells Up Winery. Winemaker David Specter invites tasters in to Herald the Holidays with him as he shares his handcrafted Pinot noir and Syrah paired with light fair and spectacular views from their new wine porch. Regularly open by appointment only, David and his wife Sara open this weekend from noon – 4.
The Victorian on 10th: Vista Hills Vineyard offers spectacular views and is centrally locating in the red hills of Dundee. They are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a special Thanksgiving lineup of European cheeses paired with six estate wines. Friday and Saturday – 11 to 5
R.R. Thompson House: The Carlton Winemakers Studio presents “The Craft of Winemaking” on Friday and Saturday (11-4) Thanksgiving weekend. View short videos on the process of winemaking and explore the equipment used by winemakers. The videos, wine tasting — from some of the best winemakers in the valley, and light appetizers are all included in the $20 fee.
These inns and others of the Oregon Bed and Breakfast Guild are ready to share Oregon with you: it’s environment, culture, and heritage. Combine gracious hospitality with ambiance at an inspected and approved Oregon Bed and Breakfast Guild member Inn
