Wood Boat Festival at Eagle Rock Lodge on the McKenzie River
It’s that time of year for Eagle Rock Lodge’s annual wooden boat festival, Saturday, April 22nd from 10:00 to 5:00. New and historic McKenzie drift boats will be on display along with casting demonstrations, fly tying workshop.
Admission is free. Lunch for a small fee, donate more if you can, will be offered by the McKenzie River Guides Assoc. All proceeds go to various projects that they do throughout the year. Free life jackets, guided fishing trips for children who have survived cancer and river clean up are just a few. Fly tying demonstrations and casting demo instructions by Cascade Family Flyfishers. There will be small parade of wooden boats that arrive at the Lodge just around noon. The festival is a delightful time of community and history all the while enjoying the beauty of the McKenzie River.
